Dr. Kevin Wade has his origins in El Paso, Texas. He grew up in the Houston area after serving in the Army and Marines. He has served as a Youth Pastor, Associate Pastor and Interim Pastor since he accepted his calling to the ministry in 1989 under the leadership of Dr. Myron D. Barnes at Starlight MBC in Beaumont, Texas. He has doctoral and masters’ degrees from George Fox University in Portland, Oregon. He has written and published 10 books under the name Robin K. Johnson, which honors his mother and her six sisters and six brothers. He also has obtained degrees in Psychology and Business. He is a member of the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society.

Mrs. Callie Wade has her origins in Liberty, Texas. She fell in love with Jesus at an early age. At the age of 14 years old, she became the Choir Director of the Youth and Adult Choirs at St. Miles M.B.C. in Liberty, Texas. At the age of 16, she was the Youth Minister of Music and then started the Young Adult Choir.  After graduating high school, she attended Lee College in Baytown majoring in Music and Music Theory. She worked with various professional musicians and has performed professionally for many years. She was a member of the Southeast Texas Chorale Society as a member, administrator, and president for three years.

​Dr. Kevin and Callie are the proud parents of seven daughters and one son.
